# Webhooks

When you subscribe to price tracking for a product, you can receive webhook notifications whenever the price changes. Use webhooks to alert your users about deals, update your UI, or trigger other actions in real-time.

## Setup

Configure your webhook endpoint in the Channel3 dashboard. Once configured, Channel3 will send `POST` requests to your endpoint whenever a tracked product's price changes.

## Getting started with price tracking

### Start tracking a product

**`TypeScript`**

```typescript title="TypeScript"
import { Channel3 } from "@channel3/sdk";
const client = new Channel3();
await client.priceTracking.start({
  canonical_product_id: "prod_abc123",
  webhook_url: "https://your-app.com/webhooks/channel3",
});
```

**`Python`**

```python title="Python"
from channel3_sdk import Channel3
client = Channel3()
client.price_tracking.start(
    canonical_product_id="prod_abc123",
    webhook_url="https://your-app.com/webhooks/channel3",
)
```

### Stop tracking

**`TypeScript`**

```typescript title="TypeScript"
await client.priceTracking.stop({
  canonical_product_id: "prod_abc123",
});
```

**`Python`**

```python title="Python"
client.price_tracking.stop(
    canonical_product_id="prod_abc123",
)
```

### List active subscriptions

**`TypeScript`**

```typescript title="TypeScript"
const subscriptions = await client.priceTracking.listSubscriptions();
console.log(subscriptions);
```

**`Python`**

```python title="Python"
subscriptions = client.price_tracking.list_subscriptions()
print(subscriptions)
```

### Get price history

**`TypeScript`**

```typescript title="TypeScript"
const history = await client.priceTracking.getHistory("prod_abc123");
console.log(history);
```

**`Python`**

```python title="Python"
history = client.price_tracking.get_history("prod_abc123")
print(history)
```
